What was the first cigar you ever smoked?
I first tried a RYJ corona I believe it was around 25 years ago. I remember it was a very dry unpleasant cigar but the experience and enjoyment was still there. That kickstarted my passion.
Which is your desert-island cigar?
If I was on a desert island I would want long format cigars to bide my time double coronas or cohiba lanceros would be top of the list.
What is the worst cigar you’ve ever smoked?
I tried a Mexican brand in Dubai the Magridal picador something similar I was physically unable to smoke more than a few puffs.
What is your greatest cigar-related memory?
On a deployment with the army in Afghanistan sitting on the side of a mountain with some friends watching the sun set smoking some cheap cigars.
What is your favourite cigar brand?
Partagas would have to be my favourite over all brand.
What is your favourite cigar accessory?
I have a st DuPont Trinidad lighter from my first trip to Havana for the Habanos Festival in 2024.
What is your favourite cigar shop?
My Australian Go to store is The Index they are phenomenal people and also Corporate Cigar for online orders.
What is your favourite lounge?
La casa del habanos in Dubai near the marina is by far my favourite place to smoke.
What is your favourite method of ignition?
Matches when possible if not then my St DuPont lighter.
What is your favourite cut?
I predominantly use my les fines lames knife to gently score and remove the cap.
